PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design method for a sound insulation wall which has a lightweight configuration and can be easily assembled while securing sound insulation against low-frequency noise.;SOLUTION: The present invention is a design method to design a sound insulation wall so that the same has sound insulation against noise with predetermined low frequency produced by a sound source. The sound insulation wall has columns erected in the ground and a wall body attached to the columns. The design method comprises: a column design process S1 to design the column so that stiffness thereof allows the column to have natural frequency larger than the low frequency; a wall body design process S2 to design the wall body so that the stiffness thereof allows the wall body to have the natural frequency larger than the low frequency; and a connection design process S3 to design a connection portion between the column and the wall body so that coupled oscillation as a result of connecting the column and the wall body is larger than the low frequency.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
