PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately manage modifications made in design documents and computer programs.;SOLUTION: A program managing device comprises: a program generator that generates computer programs on the basis of design documents; a design document controller that assigns a version number to each of the design documents and to a computer program generated from the design document; a target unit controller that, when a version number and target unit on which the computer program is to be executed are specified, installs the computer program matching the version number into the target unit. The design document controller, when a version number is designated, checks out the design document matching the designated version number or, when a modified design document is checked in, assigns to the modified design document a new version number different from the earlier assigned version number.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
