A Balance Arm with treads or notches on one of its halves with a moveable constant load, for example one or two weights, as the device creates a new method of creating a variable force using a constant load. The scope of application of this device and its method are limitless—it can be applied in all cases where creation of a variable applied force which must change depending on need of the user, with the aid of a constant load, is required. The simplicity of the device and of the method makes it possible to do this smoothly, quickly, reliably, safely, and inexpensively.
