The present invention relates to a process for obtaining self suportadosa nanocomposites based fibrous cerium phosphate (CEP) and carbon nanostructures funcionalizadas (NEO OP).Such nanocomposites show several applications that include, but are not limited to processes for remediation and treatment of water / wastewater / resfduos aqueous contaminated with Metal lons, and environmental pollutants in general
