The enzymatic catalyst comprising recombinant entomopathogenic fungi for reducing the viscosity of heavy and extra-heavy crude oils on a global level represents an invention which will be a renewable resource for improving the quality of heavy and extra heavy crude oils, turning them into more manageable upon being easily flowed through a production piping, from the producer interval to the point of sale, ensuring crude oil to flow at low temperatures; technically, the enzymatic catalyst for reducing the viscosity of heavy and extra-heavy crude oils, represents a viscosity reducer that interacts with the hydrocarbon molecules reducing the interfacial forces, increasing the intermolecular separation, reducing the viscosity of the crude oil, thus promoting the breaking of emulsions due to the weakening of the forces that stabilizes the same.
