This invention (ScopeSafe) is a soft rubber lined but rigid bite block. This is placed between the front incisors and has intraoral mandibular arch extensions to distribute the bite/dental force thus minimising the risk of dental injury. Oxygen channels are incorporated into the intraoral mandibular arch extensions which deliver oxygen directly to the oropharynx thus improving patient oxygenation and minimising external mouth escape.
