The method involves detecting the beginning of an overflow of the solar fluid (F) by the high point, where rotational speed or power consumption of a handling unit (12) is detected. The air quantity is available in the solar fluid cycle (K). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for diagnosing an air quantity in a solar fluid cycle of a solar heating system; and (2) a device for filling a solar heating system.
