Provided is an electrode for a microbial fuel cell that is highly electroconductive, highly corrosion-resistant, and inexpensive. The electrode for a microbial fuel cell according to the present invention is used for a microbial fuel cell and is provided with an electroconductive base material and a coating covering the surface of the electroconductive base material, the coating being formed using an electroconductive carbon material and a resin, and the electroconductive base material being covered with the coating, wherein the resistivity of the electrode for a microbial fuel cell is 10^-5 Ω•cm to 10⁵ Ω•cm.
