The invention relates to a fabric (1) for a machine which produces and/or processes a fibrous web, in particular a paper, cardboard, tissue or nonwoven machine, having a load-bearing basic structure which comprises a flat structure (2) and a seam connecting means (3), wherein the flat structure (2) has a length and a width and a top side (4) which points towards the web material and a bottom side which points towards the machine, and the length of the flat structure (2) is delimited by a first and a second end section (E1, E2) which extends in each case over the width of the flat structure, wherein the seam connecting means (3) has a first seam connecting element (6) which is fastened to the first end section (E1) with a first coupling section and a second seam connecting element (8) which is fastened to the second end section (E2) with a second coupling section and makes the basic structure endless, by the two coupling sections being combined and connected to one another.
