A software search device that: specifies (S03), from among source codes (D01) to be searched, statements belonging to each among an SU segment, an SL segment, and a WU segment which have processes described therein that are executed when a computer system is started up; specifies (S04), for each segment, a register to which a write operation occurs in the identified statement; and detects and outputs (S05, S06) assumed mistakes, for registers having one segment being written to and one segment not being written to, among two segments selected from the SU segment, the SL segment, and the WU segment.
