The device (D) has a plastic plate (1), and a boot whose internal face (Ca) and outer side (Cb) are connected together by two side portions (Cc), an upper plate (Cd), and a lower plate (Ce).The plate is arranged with a set of fold lines that is bent at right angles so as to form a dihedron with a flap (B1) having width that is equal to width of a recess to be closed. A bead is arranged in the plate, where the bead is in contact with two side plate portions and boot portions. An independent claim is also included for a case of a rolling shutter.
