Provided is float plate glass produced by a process for forming an ultra-thin glass. In the raw materials for the glass, in weight percentage, the content of sodium oxide is 0.01 - 16%, the content of aluminium oxide is 6 - 35%, the content of silicon oxide is 1.6 - 5.8 times that of the content of calcium oxide, and the content of calcium oxide is 0.8 - 2 times that of the content of magnesium oxide. In the process of forming the glass, before the glass liquid enters a tin kiln, the viscosity temperature of the glass liquid at a distance of 0.3 to 1.8 m from the tin kiln is 10^1.2 to 10^1.99 Pa•s.
