The production method for a functional funerary urn for preventing rotting and foul smells of funerary ashes of the present invention comprises: a first step of producing a ceramic antimicrobial agent by introducing a titanium dioxide powder and a silica powder into a silver antimicrobial agent solution, and allowing substitution to proceed for between 3 and 5 hours at between 80 and 100°C; a second step of soaking a funerary outer urn in a solution obtained from dilution of the ceramic antimicrobial agent by introducing same into a general emulsion used for pottery, and drying away from light; a third step of soaking a funerary inner urn in a solution obtained from dilution of the ceramic antimicrobial agent, a kiyoseki stone powder and a seven stone powder by introducing same into the general emulsion used for pottery, and drying away from light; a fourth step of placing the outer urn and the inner urn produced in the second and third steps in a calcining furnace, and calcining same for between 10 and 12 hours at between 900 and 1,000°C; a fifth step of repeating the process of the second step for the calcined outer urn, and repeating the process of the third step for the calcined inner urn, and then re-calcining same for between 10 and 12 hours at between 1,200 and 1,300°C; and a sixth step of placing the inner urn in the re-calcined outer urn, filling the inner space between same with 450 mesh white charcoal and silica, and using tempered glass to close the inlet opening.
