The present invention relates to a method for isolating a multi-junction solar cell, and a structure of a multi-junction solar cell manufactured by using the same. The method comprises: a step of providing a substrate; a step of forming a composite layer, which has a structure where an insulation layer pattern forms the boundary of a light-absorbing layer, on the top of the substrate; a step of forming a front-side electrode, which is prepared on the top of the insulation pattern and a part of the light-absorbing layer, and a back-side electrode that is prepared on the bottom of the substrate; a step of forming a non-reflective layer on the top of the light-absorbing layer; and a step of dicing the substrate with respect to the insulation layer pattern by the unit of a cell. In the structure of a solar cell manufactured by using the method, the edge of the light-absorbing layer is covered by an insulation layer. The present invention prevents short-circuiting in a packaging process and the generation of a leakage current by forming an insulation layer at the sidewall of a light-absorbing layer, thereby improving the efficiency of a solar cell device.
