The present invention relates to a three-dimensional weather radar display system using a GIS and a method thereof and, more specifically, to a three-dimensional weather radar display system using a GIS and a method thereof, which can improve the accuracy of weather radar display and can maximize the precision of weather prediction by matching radar beams and a three-dimensional GIS map using all radar variables of the radar beams obtained in real time for weather radar display based on the GIS, which is not planar grid coordinates, intuitively measuring an actual radar radiation pattern, building weather radar data into three-dimensional volume weather data, observing the variation of the three-dimensional volume weather data, and automatically compensating a beam shielding effect.
