Disclosed are an RUI system, an RUI server, RUI terminal devices, and a control method thereof. The method for controlling the RUI server according to the present invention comprises the following steps: receiving stream data on content from an external server when stream service request information on the content is received from at least one RUI terminal device among multiple RUI terminal devices; determining whether transcoding for the stream data can be performed in the RUI server; and performing transcoding for the stream data or transmitting transcoding performance information on the stream data to an RUI terminal device capable of transcoding among other RUI terminal devices excluding the RUI terminal device based on the determination result. As a result, when the RUI server lacks available resources for transcoding, an RUI service can be provided by utilizing transcoding resources in an RUI terminal device having available resources for transcoding among multiple RUI terminal devices.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
