The present invention relates to an aqueous solution for absorbing carbon dioxide and fixing carbonate including a steric hindrance amine and an organic calcium salt and a method for absorbing carbon dioxide and fixing carbonate using the same wherein the aqueous solution for absorbing carbon dioxide and fixing carbonate includes the steric hindrance amine with outstanding functions of absorbing carbon dioxide and an enthalpy absorbing low carbon dioxide and accordingly increases solubility of carbon dioxide for the aqueous solution. In addition, the aqueous solution of the present invention includes the organic calcium salt as calcium ion sources while having calcite and vaterite and accordingly fixes carbon dioxide as calcium carbonate which is widely used in industries.
