The present invention relates to a terminal device for an internet protocol-based call service, a call arrival alarm providing method thereof, and an internet protocol-based call service system, which may stably provide a call arrival alarm signal regardless of the kind of operating system of the terminal device. The present invention executes a multimedia playback application, if a call arrival request occurs when a call application processing the internet protocol-based call service is operated as a foreground, to output a call arrival alarm signal and generates the call arrival signal via local notification if the call arrival request occurs in a state that the call application is switched to a background, thereby stably providing the call arrival alarm regardless of the kind of operating system of the terminal device.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
