METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SWITCHING BETWEEN MASTER MCU(MICRO CONTROLLER UNIT) AND SLAVE MCU OF DUAL MCU

Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for switching between a master MCU and a slave MCU in a dual MCU. A method for handshaking a dual MCU including a master MCU and a slave MCU comprises the steps of: setting a first GPIO output of a first MCU set as a master MCU to a high state; performing a task synchronized with the first MCU and a second MCU set as a slave MCU; setting a second GPIO output of the second MCU to a high state; allowing the first MCU to detect a rising edge due to the high status in the second GPIO output and to perform SPI communications between the first MCU and the second MCU; setting the second GPIO output channel of the second MCU to a low state after the completion of the SPI communications; and setting the first GPIO output channel of the first MCU to a low state. In addition, handshaking can be performed when a switch between a master MCU and a slave MCU fails to occur.
