The present invention relates to a composition for relieving a hangover, containing an extract of Eastern prickly pear stem, Eastern prickly pear rice wine, and a method for producing the same. The method for producing Eastern prickly pear rice wine comprises the steps of: mixing 23 to 27 parts by weight of a white rice powder or a brown rice powder with 73 to 77 parts by weight of boiled water, and cooling the mixture; mixing malt or amylase and yeast in the mixture of white rice or brown rice powder prepared in the above step, fermenting the mixture at 24 to 26C for two days to prepare a crude liquor; soaking rice in water, drying the rice, steaming the rice with steam at a temperature of greater than or equal to 100C, cooling the steamed rice, and preparing hard-steamed rice to prepare steamed rice for making wine; mixing the prepared crude liquor with the prepared steamed rice for making wine, additionally adding 15 to 25 parts by weight of water with respect to 100 parts by weight of the mixture, putting the mixture in a fermentation container, fermenting the mixture to prepare a treated liquor; adding 0.2 to 5 parts by weight of an Eastern prickly pear stem; diluting and purifying the treated liquor with water of weight twice the weight of the prepared treated liquor, and removing the Eastern prickly pear stem and rice wine sediments to produce pure rice wine; and aging and fermenting the prepared pure rice wine at 4 to 6C for 48 hours in a crock, and packaging the aged and fermented pure rice wine in a predetermined container for shipping. The Eastern prickly pear rice wine containing an extract of Eastern prickly pear stem, produced by the method of the present invention has removed unpleasant taste of rice wine, does not cause burping, and has pharmacological efficiency of not causing a hangover or the like due to a large amount of nutrients included in Eastern prickly pear.
