METHOD OF ENRICHMENT HIGHLY PURIFIED STEARIDONIC ACID FORM FROM ECHIUM OIL

The present invention relates to a method for recovering stearidonic acid from Echium oil. The method includes the steps of: (1) generating fractions of an esterification reaction product and fractions of residual fatty acid of the Echium oil including stearidonic acid by performing a first esterification reaction by mixing fatty acid of the Echium oil, lauryl alcohol, Candida rugosa lipase, and distilled water; (2) separating the fractions of residual fatty acid of the Echium oil including stearidonic acid; (3) generating fractions of the esterification reaction product and fractions of residual fatty acid of the Echium oil including stearidonic acid by performing a second esterification reaction by mixing the fractions of residual fatty acid of the Echium oil including stearidonic acid, ethanol, and lipozyme RM IM; and (4) separating the fractions of residual fatty acid of the Echium oil including concentrated stearidonic acid.
