A method for a global analysis of fluorescence lifetime imaging data according to embodiments of the present invention, comprises: (a) acquiring, by a computer, distribution data of measurement values of fluorescent photon coefficients detected in locations of each pixel; (b) determining, by the computer, an initial value of a whole size value matrix; (c) estimating, by the computer, a next time value vector as a time value vector measured so that a similarity function is optimized with a current whole size value matrix and a whole measurement value matrix of whole pixel locations; (d) estimating, by the computer, a next whole size value matrix as a whole size value matrix, measured so that the similarity function is optimized with a next time value vector and the whole measurement value matrix of the whole pixel locations; and (e) repeating, by the computer, steps (c) and (d) until the estimated time value vector and the estimated whole size value matrix comply with a fixed fitting standard..
