According to an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for testing product life and quality of a hot press mold comprises: a main body; a specimen preparation unit installed on the main body to form a mold specimen for hot rolling under prescribed heating conditions; a testing unit installed on the main body to receive the specimen formed under the heating conditions to test the specimen under prescribed hot rolling conditions to detect a crack; and a product life determination unit to determine the product life and quality of the specimen based on the occurrence of the crack. Additionally, a method for testing product life and quality of a hot press mold is provided.
