The present invention relates to a method for operating a real-time updating system for a digital map with increased accuracy of GPS location information about objects on ground. A relevant portion of the digital map is updated with a coordinate value obtained by calculating an arithmetic average. In addition, accuracy and reliability of the digital map can be increased even more as the coordinate information can be actually measured more precisely by maintaining a plurality of GPS antennas to be in a horizontal position all the time. The real-time updating system includes a horizontal control means so that a disk unit on which the GPS antennas are installed can maintain a horizontal position all the time. Accordingly, the GPS antennas, installed on the disk unit, can maintain the same height all the time.
