Method quantification of anthocyanins in the medicinal plant material by spectrophotometry, characterized in that the method is carried out by extracting anthocyanins from medicinal plants hydroalcoholic mixtures containing 0.5-1.0% hydrochloric acid, with the ethyl alcohol concentration of not less than 70% and quantifying the content of anthocyanins in optical density of 95% ethanol containing 0.5% ammonia, against the reference solution when the analytical wavelength of maximum absorption in the range 611-630 nm using a standard sample tsiandinina-3-O-glucoside solution or using the value of its specific absorption index of 95% ethanol containing 0.5% ammonia.
