A method of locating exploratory, exploratory and production wells in oil and gas fields on the basis of multivariate three-dimensional geological models, characterized in that they carry out seismic exploration, drilling wells with coring from target formations, geophysical research of wells, testing wells, identifying the totality of seismic and downhole data, construction of predictive seismic maps on the study area, while obtained on the basis of downhole and seismic surveys the mouth of effective thicknesses, as well as maps of minimum, maximum, and variances of effective thicknesses, based on the obtained map of effective thicknesses, build a lithological trend three-dimensional model of the reservoir or field, and on the basis of the obtained trend lithological model generate many lithological cubes with different ranks of semi-variograms, build a nomogram showing the dependence of the model error on the ranks of semi-variograms, a lot of the most reliable lithology cubes models are selected, porosity cubes are built on their basis and oil and gas saturation of rocks, according to the obtained geological models, assess the resource base of the field, determine the places for possible laying of new (projected) wells, based on all the information available in the model, new wells are placed in the optimal way from the geological, environmental and economic point of view.
