The present invention provides a reaction piston holder for a negative pressure - brake booster (1) and a method for keep ready a reaction piston; the reaction piston holder for the negative pressure - brake booster (1) includes a hollow annular body (11), wherein there is a plurality of outer ribs (12) of an outer edge of the body (11) extends radially outwardly and wherein there is a plurality of inner ribs (13) of an inner edge of the body (11) extends radially inward. The invention guarantees tightness and stability of the combination of the reaction piston (2) and a return action plate (3); in addition, it has an advantage of a simple design and reduces the costs meanwhile. The method for holding the reaction piston provided by the invention has advantages of a simple assembly and is easy to assemble.
