PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that, when road network data is updated in accordance with a change in an actual road, maintains, even after the updating, a state of appropriate association between the road network data and additional data acquired by a means different from update data. PSOLUTION: A map data update system includes: a first storage means 31 storing road network data 33 indicating a road in terms of a connection relationship between nodes and links; an update means 16 for receiving update data and updating the road network data 33; a second storage means 35 storing additional data 36 acquired by a means different from the update means 16 with association information indicating association to relating links; and a correcting means 17 for correcting, when update processing is executed by the update means 16, the association information of the additional data 36 with respect to links changed by the update based on the link end coordinates and the link directions of the links before and after the update.
