The disclosure relates to a method for processing data collected during a mud logging analysis, comprising:- providing, at a plurality of measuring times, a set of gas measurement values representative of the quantity of at least one gas contained in several samples of a drilling fluid,- providing, at a plurality of controlling times, a set of control values of a control parameter relative to part of an analysis unit for providing the gas samples or the gas measurement values;- matching, for each sample of the drilling fluid, the gas measurement value measured at a given measuring time with at least one control value measured at a controlling time;- evaluating whether each control value of the control parameter is in a normal state.
