MANUFACTURING METHOD OF ORNAMENTAL BOARD OF OYA TUFF STONE, AND THE ORNAMENTAL BOARD OF OYA TUFF STONE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an ornamental board of Oya tuff stone, capable of obtaining a finished product in a short time by painting on and firing a board of Oya tuff stone containing miso (brown specks of clay mineral).;SOLUTION: An Oya tuff stone including miso is cut into boards with a thickness of 5 mm to 15 mm. The front face and the rear face of the board of Oya tuff stone obtained is applied with a transparent glaze for Raku pottery. The entire is fired at a temperature of about 800°C to 1000°C for 10 minutes to 20 minutes in a kiln, and then cooled down to normal temperature. A pattern in which the miso is incorporated is drawn on the front face of the Oya tuff stone with a colored glaze for Raku pottery. The entire is fired at a temperature of about 800°C to 1000°C for 10 minutes to 20 minutes in a kiln, and then cooled down to normal temperature. The pattern is modified with a colored glaze for Raku pottery and subjected to firing at a temperature of about 800°C to 1000°C for 10 minutes to 20 minutes in a kiln, which is repeated until completion of the pattern.
