PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means capable of suppressing local overheating at a part of a double-clad fiber, where a small scratch or peeling is occurring in the second clad.SOLUTION: A double-clad fiber fixing structure A consists of a double-clad fiber 230, a fiber holding member 250 to which the double-clad fiber is fixed, and an adhesive 260 for bonding the double-clad fiber 230 to the fiber holding member 250. The adhesive 260 has a refractive index nafter hardening that is substantially equal to or larger than the refractive index nof a second clad 233, and smaller than the refractive index nof a first clad, and the double-clad fiber 230 is fixed to the fiber holding member 250 while covering the outer periphery of the second clad 233 with the adhesive 260.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
