PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared absorption fine particle which is an inorganic compound excellent in weather resistance and absorbs near infrared light with wavelength of 700 to 900 nm and others.;SOLUTION: There is provided an infrared absorption fine particle which is a metal hexaboride fine particle and has a value of aspect ratio [(long axis length)/(short axis length)] with considering rotary elliptic body as a shape of the fie particle of 1.0 to 1.5, X-ray diffraction peak strength ratio defied in the formula 1 (I) of 45% to 75%, I=[metal hexaboride fine particle (100) face/metal hexaboride fine particle (110) face]×100% Formula 1, near infrared light absorption peak position is in a range of wavelength of 700 to 900 nm and a value of a ratio of absorbance of light with wavelength of 550nm to absorbance of light at the near infrared light absorption peak position [(absorbance of light at the absorption peak position)/(absorbance of light at wavelength of 550nm)] of 5.0 to 20.0.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
