A novel process and apparatus for efficient energy-saving threshing air separation for air separation of tobacco leaf pieces and tobacco leaf stems. Process steps: Rake conveyor (2) → Silo conveyor (3) → Proportional control device (4) → First grade threshing unit (5) → Conveyor (6) → First grade air separation unit (7) → Stem leaf Piece conveyor (10) → Second grade threshing unit (11) → Conveyor (12-14) → Second grade air separation unit (15) → Stem leaf piece conveyor (19) → Third grade threshing unit (20) → Conveyor ( 21-23) → Class 3 air separation unit (24) → Stem-leaved piece conveyor (28) → Class 4 threshing unit (29) → Conveyor (30) → Class 4 air separation unit (31). The above-mentioned first class air separation unit (7) is equipped with a wind pressure type 2 silo air separator (9), and only the passing tobacco leaf pieces are selected, and the above second class, third class and fourth class air separation units ( 15, 24, 31) is equipped with a wind pressure type 3 silo air separator (17, 26), which can separate the tobacco leaf pieces and tobacco leaf stems.
