PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection device for a welding seam part of an electric resistance welded tube capable of detecting the welding seam part more reliably than before.;SOLUTION: A position detection device 60 for a welding seam part is provided with: a camera 65 for photographing an outer peripheral surface of an electric resistance welded tube 10 on which a chromatic color marking 20 is provided; an image processing apparatus 67 for processing imaging data of the outer peripheral surface photographed by the camera 65 into a color image; an arithmetic unit 68 for determining whether or not a color component included in the marking 20 of respective color components of RGB accounts for a threshold value or more in a visual field range of the camera 65; and a control unit 70 for detecting a position of the welding seam part 11 from a detection position of the marking 20 by determining that the marking 20 is detected when the arithmetic unit 68 determines that the color component included in the marking 20 of the respective color components of RGB accounts for the threshold value or more in the visual field range of the camera 65.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
