PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photovoltaic power generation prediction system capable of predicting photovoltaic power generation quickly at low cost.SOLUTION: The present invention is a system for predicting photovoltaic power generation by a photovoltaic power generator arranged at an observation point using a global satellite navigation positioning system for measuring the position of an observation point by a positioning signal from a positioning satellite, the system comprising: a zenith atmosphere delay arithmetic unit 11 for calculating a zenith atmosphere delay by applying a precision single positioning method and a Kalman filter; a first line of sight delay arithmetic unit 12 for calculating a first line of sight delay in each of at least three positioning satellite directions by using a mapping function for the zenith atmosphere delay; a second line of sight delay arithmetic unit 13 for calculating a second line of sight delay in the solar direction at a prescribed time of day by using the first line of sight delay; a solar radiation prediction arithmetic unit 14 for predicting solar radiation at a prescribed time of day from the second line of sight delay and the angle of elevation of the sun; and a photovoltaic power generation prediction unit 15 for predicting photovoltaic power generation by the photovoltaic power generator from the predicted solar radiation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
