PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic permeability/dielectric constant sensor capable of selectively detecting changes of magnetic permeability or changes of dielectric constant in a detection object using a single sensor, and to provide a detection method of magnetic permeability/dielectric constant using the magnetic permeability/dielectric constant sensor.SOLUTION: The magnetic permeability/dielectric constant sensor measures the oscillation frequency of a first oscillation circuit which oscillates including a coil and a capacitor, and the oscillation frequency of a second oscillation circuit which oscillates including a coil and a capacitor different from the coil and the capacitor of the first oscillation circuit. The magnetic permeability/dielectric constant sensor calculates a difference in the measured oscillation frequencies, and converts the calculated difference into the magnetic permeability or dielectric constant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16
