PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for automatically creating a hierarchical structure in which the hierarchical structure showing the relationship among multiple sensitivity words representing a physical feature of articles is automatically generated, and the degree of the relationship among the sensitivity words constituting the hierarchical structure is determined quantitatively.;SOLUTION: A method for automatically creating a hierarchical structure includes the steps of: calculating a general effect degree matrix F based on results of a first questionnaire stored in a first questionnaire result memory step (first questionnaire result memory means 16); generating the hierarchical structure connected with branches showing those relationships among the sensitivity words constituting a plurality of hierarchies, by performing binarization processing using a threshold value pre-set with the general effect degree matrix F; and quantitatively representing the relationship among the sensitivity words about each branch of the hierarchical structure based on results of psychological survey. As a result, the hierarchical structure showing the relationship among the plurality of sensitivity words representing the physical feature of the articles can be generated even by a person not skilled in the development and evaluation of the articles.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
