PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pause application technology capable of applying a pause to an optimal position in an entire sentence from a little learning texts.;SOLUTION: A text with part-of-speech and pause labels is obtained by imparting, to a text, a label representing the arrangement of words forming the text and parts of speech corresponding to the word and each of included words, and a label representing the presence/absence of a pause just after the word. While using such a text as a learning text, a pause application model is learnt which is obtained by making into a model two sets of sequences formed from parts of speech and the presence/absence of the pause in accordance with an N-gram model. While using the pause application model obtained by learning, two sets of sequences are searched which become maximum likelihood regarding a text with the part-of-speech label, in which the labels representing the arrangement of words forming the text and parts of speech corresponding to that word and each of included are imparted. A sequence of the presence/absence of the pause included in the two sets of sequence to be the maximum likelihood is imparted to the text with the part-of-speech label.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
