PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic characteristic calculation device of a machine tool capable of easily and highly accurately measuring a dynamic characteristic in a vibration system including a rotary tool to be really used.;SOLUTION: A dynamic characteristic calculation device 100 of a machine tool calculates a dynamic characteristic of the machine tool including a mass coefficient M and a natural frequency f in a vibration system in which blade sections 6a and 6b of a rotary tool 6 are specified as vibrators in the machine tool performing intermittent cutting by relatively moving in relation to a workpiece W while rotating the rotary tool 6. The dynamic characteristic calculation device 100 includes an FEM analysis section 101 acquiring the mass coefficient M by an FEM analysis on the basis of structural information of the machine tool, a detector 102 detecting magnetism changing by sound waves generated by vibration of the rotary tool 6 or vibration of the rotary tool 6 when the rotary tool 6 is excited, and a natural frequency calculation section 103 calculating the natural frequency f on the basis of a detection value by the detector 102.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
