PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting furnace temperature of a continuous heating furnace which can more positively satisfy the target extraction temperature and the constraint of a slab and can reduce the fuel consumption even when a plurality of slabs with different heating conditions are charged into the continuous heating furnace and heated.;SOLUTION: The method for setting furnace temperature of a continuous heating furnace is used for setting the temperature of at least one combustion zone for every predetermined control period based on the target extraction temperature of each slab from the combustion zone, and includes the steps of: selecting, as an object combustion zone, one combustion zone among the combustion zones in which temperature setting is performed; calculating a set furnace-temperature orbit of the object combustion zone in which the anticipation extraction temperature of each slab which is present in the inside of the object combustion zone at the initial time and a slab just before being introduced into the object combustion zone may be the target extraction temperature or more of each slab; and reflecting at least a part of the calculated set furnace-temperature orbit of the object combustion zone to the setting of the furnace temperature of the object combustion zone.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
