PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual port OLT (Optical Line Termination) and a dual port PON system capable of determining stability of a standby line by measuring reception optical signal intensity by using a standby PON (Passive Optical Network) port.SOLUTION: A dual port OLT 110 includes: an active PON port Pa for measuring an active reception optical signal intensity value of an optical module 114a by using a signal of a PON MAC chip; a standby PON port Ps for autonomously measuring a standby reception optical signal intensity value of an optical module 114s, and storing the value; and a CPU 112 for activating the active PON port, setting the standby PON port in preparation for occurrence of an event in the active PON port, and performing determination by comparing the active reception optical signal intensity value with the standby reception optical signal intensity value.
