PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress gradations from being crushed in converting a color space.SOLUTION: A color space conversion section 105 converts image data of a first color space into image data of a second color space using a third conversion matrix resulting from adjusting a coefficient of a first conversion matrix corresponding to conversion processing from the image data of the first color space to the image data of the second color space in such a manner that a multiplication result of the first conversion matrix and a second conversion matrix corresponding to conversion processing from the image data of the second color space to the image data of the first color space becomes closer to a unit matrix. A color space conversion section 107 converts the image data of the second color space generated by the color space conversion section 105 into the image data of the first color space while using a fourth conversion matrix resulting from adjusting a coefficient of the second conversion matrix in such a manner that a multiplication result of the first conversion matrix and the second conversion matrix becomes closer to the unit matrix.
