Purification method of soil and groundwater by aerobic microorganisms

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently purifying soil and underground water by effectively preventing generation of nitrite-nitrogen and nitrate-nitrogen when purifying in situ, the soil and/or underground water contaminated with harmful substances using an aerobic microbe.SOLUTION: The method includes: feeding an oxygen-containing gas from a feeding channel L1 and feeding a gaseous nitrification-suppressing material (acetylene) from a gas cylinder 6 through a feeding channel L2; injecting a gas mixture G into the soil 1 and the underground water 2 dispersing to injection wells 4a, 4b and 4c from a feeding channel L3; and decomposing the harmful substances by the action of the aerobic microbe in the soil to prevent the generation of nitrite-nitrogen and nitrate-nitrogen by ammonia oxidizing bacteria or nitrifying bacteria.
