PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection welding apparatus, which can suppress the contact of a first plate material and a second plate material at a portion other than a projection for welding, and at the same time, can suppress the scatter of a fused material; and to provide a projection welding method and a projection welding structure.SOLUTION: A pair of stopper member 44 provided in the upper surface of a lower side planar electrode 42 is arranged in a reinforcing rib 24A while leaving a space between the upper surface 44A and a web portion 32 of the reinforcing rib 24A. By supporting the web portion 32 of the reinforcing rib 24A from inside with the stopper member 44, the approach of the upper side planar electrode 40 to the lower side planar electrode 42 is made to be restricted. Moreover, when the web portion 32 of the reinforcing rib 24A contacts with the upper surface 44A of the stopper member 44, the web portion 32 of the reinforcing rib 24A and the lower side planar electrode 42 are made to be electrically connected through the stopper member 44.
