PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for forming contact lenses having high oxygen permeability and high water content.;SOLUTION: The material includes: a first siloxane macromer with a number average molecular weight of about 1,000 to 10,000, where the first siloxane macromer has a crosslinking function and is represented by the formula (I); a second siloxane macromer selected from a group represented by another specific formula; at least one hydrophilic monomer; and an initiator. (R₁ to R₃ are C₁-C₄ alkyl groups; R₄ is a C₁-C₆ alkenylene group, a C₁-C₆ alkylene group, or a C₁-C₆ alkylene group that has an ether functional group; R₅ is O or NH; R₆ is a C₁-C₆ alkenylene group, a C₁-C₆ alkylene group, or a C₁-C₆ alkylene group that has an ether functional group; R₇ is hydrogen, a C₁-C₆ alkylene group, or a C₁-C₆ alkylene group that has an ether functional group; and R₈ is a residue of a reactive functional group.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
