The method involves discharging the cream inflow amount in a butter making cylinder (1) and converting the cream into butter grain and buttermilk. The buttermilk-butter grain mixture is removed from the butter making cylinder. The discharge of the cream inflow amount takes place in the butter making cylinder at two different points (5a,5b,5c) along a rotation axis (A) of a hammer (2).
