Seven potential Bi and Tridentate Chiral Ligands were synthesized and characterized ,in that L-Valine methyl ester Hydrochloride or Phenyl alanine ethyl ester hydrochloride and 2-amino-3,5-dibromobenzaldhehyde were linked by ON bond, The Schiffs base can be specifically reduced using Tetra butylammonium borohydride without affecting ester group and ester further convert into Alcohol using lithium borohydride. The above synthesized compounds were confirmed by spectroscopic techniques like 1H and 13C NMR ,MS and FT-IR in addition to Optical rotation, The synthesized alcohol was tested and found that all seven compounds exhibits potential antibacterial activity against gram negative as well as gram positive bacteria. In addition to that, the compounds also exhibit anti-inflammatory activity. The anti-inflammatory activity was confirmed by in vitro anti-inflammatory assay in Ultraviolet spectroscopy using BSA as standard.
