The present invention relates to a means for achieving tunable, non-linear mechanism developed for chest simulation. The said means is a pneumatic muscle based scissor jack mechanism for simulating human chest stiffness across a range of non -linear curves, which improves the chest stiffness fidelity in hi-fidelity mannequins. Thus, the present invention proposes an affordable, hi-fidelity tunable non-linear mechanism for simulating chest stiffness and can be used during CPR training for a more realistic chest feel.
