The present invention relates to a solution for counteracting the symptoms caused by first, second and third degree burns to human skin, which comprises a mixture of a volume of saline solution (1.5%), with a volume of vinegar and a volume of alcohol, said solution being directly applied to the skin areas that have been exposed to first, second and third degree burns. The solution is brought directly into contact with the damaged area, or via a piece of fabric impregnated therewith, or spread over the damaged area without the need of removing clothes.
