The object of the invention is a turbulent rib for a heat exchanger tube-rib assembly, with a turbulent rib containing a wave plate with many adjacent faults between the first side of the plate and the second side of the plate, where each failure has a fixed height of the failure limited by the adjacent fracture lines and each has a length of the failure in the direction of the longitudinal plate, characterised by this, that the final defect forming the edge of the plate of at least one transverse side of the plate has a reduced height (hr) of the defect compared to the constant height of the defect.
